fuel
Changes in fuel moisture, calorific value and composition during operation of the combustion plant affect the combustion settings. To ensure optimum combustion at all times, three manually or automatically selectable memory locations with settings suitable for fuel are available. During summer operation, the use of fuel with a fuel moisture content ≤ M35 is recommended to support the minimum operating time of the combustion plant . Alternatively, manual adjustment can be bypassed with the innovative "Revolution Adaptive" control system. The parameters are recorded by sensors and the firing system is automatically readjusted. This significantly increases efficiency!
Fuel supply
The fuel supply is finely dosed and continuously adapted to the currently required boiler output, both for the screw conveyor and the slide-in systems. This ensures that the desired output is generated in every load condition.
Selecting the boiler output
Correct dimensioning is crucial for the efficient and low-maintenance operation of combustion plant . Continuous operation should be the aim during planning. Single-boiler systems with summer operation should have a sufficiently high minimum operating time. Otherwise, the planning of multi-boiler systems is recommended, also taking into account the minimum operating time.
Storage tank
The energy storage tank covers peak loads, favors the control behavior of the combustion plant and enables the minimum operating time and filter availability to be achieved. Taking into account the spread (flow and return) of the heating network, we recommend 25-30 liters per kW installed output of the largest boiler.

The UTSD product range developed by Schmid is impressive in terms of convenience and technology. The many years of experience in control and boiler development have been optimally incorporated into the development. The boilers (35-260 kW) are tested in accordance with the EN303-5:2012 regulations and have achieved the highest boiler class 5. The robust and scratch-resistant 7“ real glass Touch-Display offers simple operation and central system management. Several weather-controlled heating circuits can be regulated and the hot water preparation and optimized heat storage management are just some of the benefits. The control of a bivalent boiler or several systems is also possible without any problems. The many years of experience in feeding residual wood / waste wood can be used individually.
Particle separator e-clean
With the optimum combustion by the UTSD of Schmid AG, the best emission values are already achieved. To reduce the fine dust even further, the exhaust gases can additionally be cleaned via a separation system. Together with a leading manufacturer, Schmid AG has developed an electrostatic particle separator that can be installed in the boiler: the e-clean. The e-clean is integrated directly above the boiler heat exchanger. In this way, the exhaust gases are cleaned while they are still hot. Compared to the usual separators, this has the advantage that condensate development can be ruled out and thus no high-voltage losses or corrosion damage occur. Due to the positioning in the hot area, a filter availability of more than 90 % can be permanently guaranteed.

New generation of lump wood furnaces
The new generation of Schmid log heating systems combines classic wood heating with modern technology and a high level of convenience. With an output range of 30-80 kW, the log heaters are suitable for smaller businesses. The Novatronic heaters are at the cutting edge of combustion technology and impress with their robust construction and simple operation. The large filling chamber lid with a low filling edge and large filling volume enables convenient loading. A automatic ignition creates a larger time window for filling the boiler, from the moment combustion is complete until the storage tank is discharged. With the Novatronic, 1 meter long wood residues can be fed into the combustion process.
