Direct access to manufacturer expertise for customers in Italy
Schmid AG energy solutions has been implementing innovative biomass heating plants in Italy for many years. The biomass combustion systems up to 8 MW for process, local, and district heating are developed and manufactured in-house by Schmid.
Since January 1, 2026, customers and partners in Italy have been served directly by Schmid AG energy solutions. This includes sales and customer service.
From January 2021 to the end of December 2025, the sales and service of Schmid systems in Italy (excluding South Tyrol) will be carried out exclusively by Viessmann S.r.l. Italy.
Both companies have evolved in recent years and adjusted their strategic focus accordingly. Due to this realignment, the previous exclusivity agreement was not renewed. Both companies will honor the agreed exclusivity periods for certain projects that have already been started and are open to further cooperation on a project basis.
Direct coordination via Schmid enables customers and partners in Italy to work more closely together, have personal access to Schmid specialists, and receive fast, individual support in all project phases.
Direct support allows us to provide our Italian customers with even more targeted assistance and give them access to our entire range of technical expertise. This proximity creates trust—and genuine added value.
