Schmid AG wood-burning furnaces have intuitive operation – the Personal Touch visio control system. It guarantees optimal combustion conditions with high efficiencies. In addition to a modern design and high user-friendliness, the web technology HMTL5, the worldwide standard for modern web browsers, is in use.
The use of this technology results in versatile possibilities of how the firing systems can be operated. Four independent connections can be made simultaneously to the plant for operation via a smartphone, tablet or the built-in touch panel.

The temperature of the primary air used for combustion is of great importance for an energy-efficient combustion process. The use of a combustion air preheater makes it possible to reduce the nominal output to 15% during controlled partial load operation.
Up to 900 kW nominal power and at a maximum fuel moisture of M 35, electric industrial hot air blowers are available for igniting the fuel in the firing pan or on the moving grate.
The new Revolution adaptive control recognizes the fuel quality used. This is done on the basis of the fuel water content, the heat output generated, the combustion temperature and the current grate occupancy.
With Revolution adaptive, a permanently low residual oxygen content in the flue gas is maintained even with changing fuel quality and the target output is always achieved. The flue gas recovery and air distribution are automatically adjusted and the ember bed is kept constant. This has a positive effect on efficiency, fuel consumption, emissions and wear.
Boiler bypass for raising the exhaust gas temperature in startup and shutdown operation. This increases the filter availability.
The heat exchanger tubes are equipped with plug-in turbulators to lower the exhaust gas temperature. This increases the efficiency of the firing system. In case of frequent operation in partial or low load, the turbulators may have to be removed if no boiler bypass is available.
If one or both options are selected (boiler bypass and intermediate ceiling cleaning), the central pressure line is required as a pressure accumulator

The underfeed firing system UTSK visio is suitable for dry chips, moist wood chips, as well as residual wood wood chips. This combustion plant is mainly used as a variant for new plants and as a replacement for existing oil or gas firing systems.
In the UTSK visio underfeed firing system, the material is fed from below into a combustion retort made of high-alloy cast iron. The complete combustion chamber is lined with refractory material and ensures a high firing temperature even with moist material. A radiant ceiling is installed above the combustion chamber, which varies depending on the material. The primary air is fed through the cast rods in the combustion retort, where it produces a quiet gasification of the fuel material. The secondary air supplied in the combustion chamber ensures optimum burnout and thus low emission levels. Ash removal takes place via a burnout grate. An ash screw is arranged under the burnout grate, with which the ash is conveyed directly into an ash bucket or into a container. The combustion unit is completely surrounded by the primary and secondary air and, together with the effective insulation, ensures minimum radiation.
A well-dimensioned 3-pass flue tube boiler is installed above the furnace. The multicyclone is installed directly behind the heat exchanger and can be optimally supplied with air.
