Combustion air preheating

The temperature of the primary air used for combustion is very important for an energy-efficient combustion process. The use of combustion air preheating allows the nominal capacity to be reduced to 15% during controlled partial load operation.

Revolution adaptive – control for changing fuels

The new Revolution adaptive control system detects the fuel quality used based on the fuel water content, the heat capacity generated, the combustion temperature, and the current grate occupancy.

With Revolution adaptive, a permanently low residual oxygen content in the flue gas is maintained even with changing fuel quality, and the target output is always achieved. The flue gas recirculation and air distribution are automatically adjusted and the fire bed is kept constant. This has a positive effect on efficiency, fuel consumption, emissions, and wear.

Automatic undergrate ash removal

Automatic removal of ash from under the moving grate by means of a push floor system directly into the grate ash removal screw or into a drop chute.

Denox / SNCR process (nitrogen oxide reduction)

When wood is burned, nitrogen oxides are formed from the nitrogen in the fuel. The nitrogen oxides (NOx) in the flue gas can be reduced by the SNCR process so that the legal guidelines are not exceeded.

• Selective non-catalytic reduction process
• Reducing agent: urea solution
• The reducing agent reacts at a combustion chamber temperature between 840
• and 1000 °C, corresponding to an operating range of approx. 50 – 100 %.

Arch cleaning (from capacity 1200 kW)

Automatic pulse-jet cleaning system for the arch. An intense blast of compressed air removes ash deposits from both sides of the arch at adjustable intervals. This reduces manual cleaning to a minimum.

ESCD hydraulic pusher

The ESCD hydraulic pusher operates on the lock principle and consists of a hydraulic push conveyor, a metering container and a fire protection slide valve. To prevent backfire into the fuel transport system, the hydraulic push conveyor only moves back when the fire protection slide valve is closed.

Direct push feed HFED

The direct push feed HFED consists of a push rod with 2 pulling hydraulic cylinders and the relief box. It is designed for installation in the concrete channel provided by the customer.

Automatic ignition

Up to 900 kW nominal capacity and with a maximum moisture content of fuel of M 35, electric industrial hot air blowers are available for igniting the fuel in the crucible or on the moving grate.

Boiler bypass with pulse-jet cleaning system

Boiler bypass for increasing the flue gas temperature during start-up and shutdown. This increases filter availability.

Turbulators – For one or two boiler passes

The heat exchanger tubes are equipped with plug-in turbulators to reduce the flue gas temperature. This increases the efficiency of the combustion box. In the case of frequent operation at partial or low load, the turbulators may have to be removed if no boiler bypass is available.

Central pressure line when using boiler bypass and/or radiation vault cleaning system

When selecting one or both options (boiler bypass and radiation vault cleaning system), the central pressure line is required as a pressure accumulator.

Supply temperature

Three supply temperature ranges up to 115 °C, TÜV-tested, are available for warm water boilers:

• ≤ 90 °C warm water
• ≤ 95 °C warm water
• ≤ 105 °C hot water

Flue gas recirculation

Regulated addition of flue gas to the primary and secondary zones to reduce the grate temperature, ensure complete combustion when the secondary air enters, and cool the combustion chamber. Recommended for fuels with high heat value (less than M30), low ash melting point and in combination with DeNox processes and flue gas condensation systems.

Optional combustion chamber camera for visual inspection of the combustion chamber via remote access.
