General information
The new district heating center in Alt St. Johann supplies more than 60 district heating customers. At the beginning of 2020, the groundbreaking ceremony took place for the new construction of the district heating center with all technical installations, the control room and the chip storage hall with a storage volume of approx. 1,000m3. The heart of the heating center is a modern Schmid UTSR 900 visio moving grate furnace for industrial use. This has a power range of 135 to 900 kW, extended to particularly low partial loads, and generates up to 3,500 MWh of heating energy per year.
